Christmas presents finished 16th December Pandora

So its nearly Christmas and I've finally brought all my pressies for the Mrs so thought I'd run through the list give any of you some ideas if your struggling!

Pandora rings using the 'build a ring' option on the website, absolutely brilliant if you ask me would highly recommend it, chose three small rings that build a full size ring! One is a ring made up of small silver hearts, one is a silver band with a dark rose on the front and a small gold heart behind it for a bit of colour and the third is another band set with cubic zirkonias! Looks lovely and a different option to buying a standard run of the mill ring!

Pandora charm for her bracelet (sparkly amethyst one as its birthstone for February)

Channel cocco mamoiselle perfume gift set.

White chocolate tobelerone.

Paris bracelet with alternate beige and white stones. Also with matching beige earrings all from Ernest Jones.

Macadamia hair shampoo and conditioner set, if your girl loves her hair this stuff is amazing!

Lanscome hypnotise dream mascar.

Davidoff cool water for women perfume set. Guys this smells awesome by the way!

A 'worlds most gorgeous girlfriend' mug!

Various small buts and pieces to make up a little stocking for her to open on xmas morning!

Hope this gives you some ideas and hipe she likes them ;) can't wait for christmas.

First snow of the winter wednesday 05 December

Woke up this morning greeted by a thick frost encasing my car, time to get some use out of the old scraper.....luckily I had brought a soft grip handle one from Tesco a few weeks back and oh my god it works a treat!

Got to work late which I blamed on the frost and after having had no emails whatsoever regarding any predicted snowfall looked out of the window only to see a full on blizzard. Luckily this only lasted a few minutes and although it layed on the ground disappeared as quickly as it had fallen. Now being childish I absolutely love the snow but not when you work in logistics oh no. It causes havoc on the roads and more often than not ends up with me recieving phone call after phone call from drivers who apparently are snowed in! Cheecky gits.

Actually had a fairly good day considering the weather conditions and returned home to find some of my latest online christmas shopping had been delivered.....thrown over my 6 foot high side gate! Normally I would complain about this mode of delivery but on further enquiry realised it was my own company that had delivered this so thought better of it!

Looking forward to snuggling up on the sofa with the mrs and the pets infront of the fire tonight, winter always makes staying in doors more cosy in my opinion.

Paid online surveys consumer opinions

December 03rd 2012:

While trawling through the hundreds of random emails I get each day I came across one from a company called 'consumer-opinion.com' inviting me to fill out questionaires and surveys online for money!

I immediately assumed these would be the sort of 5 day long surveys for a few pence but to my surprise I registered with the company and only a few hours later received an invite to take part in a general survey! This took me approximately 3 minutes to complete and earnt me 5 pounds!

Before you all start thinking what your hourly rate would work out as, be aware that you can only fill in surveys they send you so unfortunately you can't pick and choose and end up making hundreds of pounds a day! The surveys are sent to you depending on your initial answers so they should be relative to yourself, at the moment I only get one or two a week but for me thats awesome, extra 10er for ten mins work.

You certainly wont get rich quick with this but its a good little extra every now and then, have a go yourself and let me know what you think and if any of you actually make a living out of this I'd love to learn how you do it :)!

Search for consumer opinions or paid online surveys and register its that simple!

So back to my journal hehe, apart from the above has been fairly uneventful last few days and according to my girlfriend I am becoming a serious online nerd hehe! Great fun though and keeps me out of mischief so she can't complain! And if I ever become rich or atleast earn a living out of it I'm sure she wont be complaining about how geeky it is!

Over an out

Christmas shopping started

Right its been a few days since I updated this, so much going on but will give you a little run down!

Started my xmas shopping, already spent best part of 500 pounds (mostly on jewellery for the other half)! As we live together in a two up two down semi detached house hiding places are not exactly plentiful. Have resorted to hiding all her pressies up in the loft or attic as you Americans like to call it! Its the only place I know she wont go even if she could manage to work the step ladder....

Exiting via two orrifices!! New bathroom design ideas???

Tuesday 27th November:
Uneventful day....

Wednesday 28th November:
Tried out the new Indian resturant in Gillingham and oh my god what amazing food! For starters plain popodums and a meat samosa, mains was chicken tilka masala, alhoo gobi (bombay potatoes and cauliflour) with lemon fried rice! Then there was the remains of the other halves jal frezi!!

Could not fault the food and reminded me just why I love a proper Indian!

Thursday 29th November:
Woke up this morning feeling v dodgy and after visiting the toilet it came back to me just why I had not visited a proper Indian for a while!!!! May only have been mild food but jesus christ it didn't feel so good coming out thats for sure (apologies to any weak stomached readers).

Got to work late only to find myself running for the toilet again, started to think it wasn't just spicy food doing its usual but in fact I might have been given food poisoning :(!

Approximately one hour after arriving at work I departed work due to sickness!

Got in and yet again another quite frankly horrifying visit to the room that had quickly become my permanent place of residence for the day! Only difference is this time it was exiting me via not just one orrifice! All I can say is its lucky I have a bathroom designed with the toilet directly opposite the bath tub!!!! This until now had always troubled me but after today it makes perfect sense and I would suggest any budding interior designers take this into consideration upon fitting new bathrooms.  Shall leave the rest to your imagination

Not a pleasant day so far

Monday 26th November (Sugar Rush)

Pretty boring Monday to be honest, crap day at work with numerous problems occurring that could so easily have been preventable had someone with even just a small amount of business knowledge been in charge.

Alas I work for a mickey mouse company that permanently juggle between service to our customers and costs to the business. Unfortunately they juggle in the favour of reducing the latter and then expecting improved service! Not quite sure how they come to this conclusion but it is safe to say they do not appreciate my opinions on this matter.

Inevitable arguments resulting in me being called into the office and given a warning. Next time I'll just pass it to someone else like every other idiot that works with me.

Came home to an awesomely tidy house thanks to the genuinely fabulous other half (impressed so much so that I may even stretch to making dinner for the both of us).

Currently racking my brains on 'get rich quick' ideas to enable me to tell my boss where to stick his job but so far the most likely option is winning the lottery, and that's not very likely!

Have decided on stir fried chicken for dinner with a Teryaki sauce (or however it's spelt) but until then will carry on stuffing my face with chocolate hob nobs and drinking copious mugs of coffee. Actually seems to do the trick regarding hunger though I have discovered after approximately 8 biscuits dunked in sweet coffee they have a rather unwanted effect on me stomach. Bloated and on a ridiculously long lasting sugar rush I have come to the conclusion that this was not a good idea.

Anyways, turns out I am not the 'next big thing' in business so reluctantly will be returning to work tomorrow morning.

Sunday 25th November (whoops)

The one day I have off all week :) bliss as the mrs heads off to work I have the whole morning left to my own devices, well minus the pets ofcourse!

Leftover pizza from yesterday and catching up on the tv series 'Homeland'! If you haven't watched it its definately worth a look: gripping!

Have done sod all so far today and thats how I like it, occassionally mustered up the enthusiasm to get myself off the sofa to make a cup of coffee and have a smoke but other than that it really has been a day of rest! Life is good :)

New John Lewis advert with snowmen is classic, they always seem to make genuinely awesome adverts to get you in the christmas spirit, shame I will be shopping at Hollister and Superdry rather than their own store hehe.

Day took a dramatic turn for the worse at about 11:00 though, I had decided to get the laptop out while heating up my pizza in the oven. Rested the laptop on top of the hob, switched on the oven at the wall as I always seem to turn it off from there nowadays in the hope it will save me money on the electricity bills! There was a knock at the door and you know those irritating cold callers who turn up at your door trying to talk to you about a god of some sort they worship? Well it was one of those, I don't really have a lot of time for them as I'm well aware if I wanted to go to church I would do it without a stranger coming to my door and trying to prompt me too!
About a minute into her speech I could smell something plasticy? Thought to myself maybe its the pizza I was reheating, then it dawned on me......F*#K.....I had switched off the oven at the wall yesterday after heating up some porridge on the hob and evidently forgotten to turn the knob that controls the hob down due to switching it off at socket! So as you can probably guess, turning the oven back on at the socket had turned the hob on too where id left the dial the night before!

Slamming the door in the middle of this preachers speech and running back to the kitchen my fears were realised! The laptop literally had been melted onto the hob, circuit boards showing and a lovely spherical hole had been burnt out in the bottom of the laptop! Bloody cold callers I blamed them instantly but she had long gone so had to spend the rest of the morning scraping off melted plastic from the hob! Oh and I burnt my pizza too! Dammit.

Plus side I guess is that laptop still functions perfectly just very warey of using it now wires and electrics stick out the bottom!

So in saving myself literally a matter of pence switching the oven on and off at the wall each time I use it I have inadvertently cost myself approximately 500 quid for a new Advent laptop!

Superb......
